Pull Apart Garlic Cheesy Bread

We may have tagged this as an appetizer but we won't tell if you make this amazing cheesy bread the main course.

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Cut the top of the bread loaf into diagonal criss cross slices, about 1 inch thick. Make sure not to cut all the way through the loaf.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with the minced garlic and dried parsley.
  3. Use a basting brush to spread the garlic butter mixture all over the bread and in between the diagonal slices. Tuck the shredded cheese in between the slices.
  4. Loosely wrap the bread loaf in foil and place it in the oven. Bake for about 20 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes.
  5. To serve, sprinkle with crumbled cotija cheese and fresh cilantro. Pull apart the pieces while still warm!
