Mexican Pizza

Serves: 4-6
Our Oaxaca and Grated Cotija quesos perfectly compliment this ground beef Mexican Pizza recipe.

  • 2 large flour tortillas
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup white onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cups refried beans
  • 1 roma tomato, medium diced
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup Rizo Bros Oaxaca cheese, hand shredded
  • 1 tbsp Rizo Bros Cotija Cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup el pato sauce
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 2 tbsp sour cream


  1. Cook ground beef and onions in medium sauce pan with taco seasoning
  2. Once beef is brown, drain excess liquid
  3. Set oven to 350 degrees
  4. Brush tortillas with olive oil and place on lined baking sheet
  5. Bake for 5-7 minutes or until tortillas are golden and crispy
  6. Heat up refried beans in covered dish for 2-3 minutes in microwave
  7. Smear beans on one tortilla
  8. Evenly distribute beef on top of beans
  9. Place second tortilla on top
  10. Spread top tortilla with sauce
  11. Evenly distribute Oaxaca and Cotija Cheese on top of sauce
  12. Bake in oven on lined sheet tray for 4-5 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly
  13. Remove from oven and garnish with tomatoes and lettuce
  14. Dollop sour cream in center of pizza
  15. Enjoy!
