Mexican Hot Chocolate
Serves: 2-4
This hot chocolate is wonderful for a romantic Valentine's treat or morning beverage.
INGREDIENTS:
4 cups milk of choice
¼ cup cacao powder
¼ cup milk chocolate chips
¼ – ½ cup sugar
3 cinnamon sticks
⅛ tsp cayenne pepper
Pinch of salt
PREPARATION:
Combine all ingredients into a large pot on the stovetop over medium low heat. Start with ¼ cup sugar, and then add more if you want it sweeter.
Whisk while bringing the mixture to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let simmer for about 10-15 minutes. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
Serve immediately!
