Chili Con Carne with Panela
Serves: 8
An authentic spicy stew of beef and sausage, including chilis, jalapenos and panela cheese.
INGREDIENTS:
Rizo Bros Panela Cheese
1 lb Ground Beef
1 lb Ground Sausage
2 Anaheim Chilis
1 can Kidney Beans
1 can Pinto Beans
1 Yellow Onion
4 cups Chicken Stock
1 can Tomato Paste
1 can Tomato Sauce
2 tsp Ground Coriander
4 Garlic Cloves
2 tsp Garlic Powder
2 tsp Onion Powder
2 tsp Chili Powder
2 tsp Cumin
2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
Salt and Pepper (to taste)
Green Onions (garnish)
Cilantro (garnish)
Jalapeños (garnish)
Tomato (garnish)
PREPARATION:
In a sauté pan, heat vegetable oil and cook ground beef and ground sausage. Once cooked add to slow cooker.
Add diced Anaheim Chili, kidney beans, pinto beans, yellow onion, chicken stock, tomato paste, tomato sauce and all spices to the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
Set slow cooker on low, for approximately 6 hours. Stirring every so often.
Spoon chili into bowls and garnish with Rizo Bros Panela Cheese, green onions, jalapeños, cilantro and diced tomato.
