Chicken Flautas with Avocado Crema

Serves: 4-6
Delicious chicken flautas served with a creamy avocado crema.

  • 1 package medium flour tortillas
  • 1 pound chicken, small diced
  • 1 red onion, fine diced
  • 2 jalapeños, fine diced
  • 2 tbsp crushed garlic
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp salt and pepper
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 cup crema
  • 1 lime, zested and juiced
  • 2 tbsp oil


  1. Heat medium skillet to medium-high heat
  2. Place oil in pan and add chicken and onions
  3. Stir frequently and add crushed garlic and jalapeño
  4. Add dry seasoning and stir to combine
  5. Remove from pan and place in dish and refrigerate for at least one hour
  6. Lay tortillas on flat surface, scoop equal amounts of chicken mix onto tortillas
  7. Roll tortillas tightly and place on plate and freeze
  8. Place crema, avocado, lime juice and zest in bowl
  9. Whisk ingredients until smooth, season to taste with salt and pepper


*** flautas can be fried in 350*f fryer 3-4 minutes //OR// baked 10-12 minutes in 350*f oven
