Carnitas Tacos

Serves: 4-6
Take your carnitas tacos up a notch by adding pickled red onions, cilantro and our fresh Queso Fresco.

  • 8 oz carnitas pork (2 oz per taco)
  • Vallarta pork or your favorite recipe
  • ½ cup crumbled Rizo Bros Queso Fresco
  • ¼ cup pickled onions
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • 1 cup salsa verde


  1. On a flat top griddle at medium-high heat, cook tortillas 15 seconds on each side
  2. Each taco is made with 2 tortillas on top of one another
  3. Place 2 oz carnitas atop each taco
  4. Top carnitas with pickled onion, cilantro, and salsa verde
  5. Garnish with Rizo Bros Queso Fresco and serve with lime wedges
